Community participation involves both theory and practical related to the direct involvement of citizens or citizen action groups potentially affected by or interested in a decision or action.

Community participation is a cornerstone of successful and sustainable educational institutions, enriching the learning environment, promoting student success and fostering strong school-community relationships. By actively engaging parents, guardians, volunteers, businesses, organizations and other stakeholders, schools like KVS can harness the collective expertise, resources and support of the community to create a vibrant and inclusive educational experience for all students.

Community participation in education means participation of parents and community members in the planning and management of schools which help in improving the quality of education. Kendriya Vidyalaya Silvassa offers a number of co-curricular activities in which students interact and demonstrate cooperation with each other.
