Art and craft are not just creative expressions, they are gateways to imagination, innovation and skill development. At KVS, we believe in nurturing these skills in our students, encouraging them to explore their creativity and express themselves through various artistic mediums. Art and Craft describes a wide variety of activities involving making things with one’s own hands. Art and Craft is usually a hobby. Both, children and adults enjoy arts and crafts. Children in KVS learn skills such as wood-craft, sewing, making things with all sorts of materials etc.

Collage Art
Collage art is a form of visual expression that involves combining different materials such as paper, fabric and found objects to create a new whole. It encourages students to experiment with textures, colors and compositions, fostering their creativity and resourcefulness.

Warli Painting
Warli painting is a traditional art form originated from the Warli tribe in Maharashtra, India. It is characterized by its simple, yet expressive, style depicting daily life, animals, and nature using basic shapes like circles, triangles, and lines. Students can learn about this unique art form and create their own Warli-inspired artworks, connecting with the rich cultural heritage of India.

Composition
Composition is the arrangement of elements within work of art. Through composition, students learn to create balance, harmony, and movement in their artworks, enhancing the visual impact and effectiveness of their creations.

Poster Making
Poster making is a form of graphic design that involves creating visually striking posters to convey a message or promote an event. It allows students to apply their creativity and design skills to communicate effectively with their audience.

Print Making
Printmaking is a versatile art form that encompasses various techniques such as linocut, etching and screen printing. It provides students with the opportunity to explore different printing methods, creating unique and expressive artworks.

Object Drawing
Object drawing is the practice of drawing three-dimensional objects to improve observation and rendering skills. It helps students develop a keen eye for details in a deeper understanding of form and proportion.

Sketching
Sketching is the foundation of many art forms, including painting and sculpture. It is a valuable skill that allows students to capture ideas, emotions and observations quickly and spontaneously.

Line Study
Line study is a fundamental exercise in art that focuses on the use of lines to create shapes, forms and textures. It helps students understand the importance of line quality, direction and weight in creating visually engaging artworks.

Shading
Shading is the technique of adding depth and dimension to drawing or painting by using various tones of color. It is an essential skill that helps students create realistic and dynamic artworks.
