Library Report

Mission : The Library provides a welcoming learning environment for students and staff; supports the school’s aims and curriculum; encourages the love of reading and the development of students’ independent learning skills.
Opening Hours : The library is open everyday during school hour from 7.30 a.m. to 01.40 p.m.
Library Periods : According to the school time table the students of Class VI to XII can visit the library for the issue and return of the books during their library periods. They can refer books and participate in library activities during this time.
Borrowing Information :
Students : Two books for a period of 14 days
Faculty and staff :Maximum 05 books for a period of 01 month.
Class Libraries: Class Libraries are functioning for classes I to V. In their Library Class they read books. Each Class has glass rack, In which books are displayed. Also some library related activities are done in their library class. Class Libraries have books and multiple copies of magazines like Champak ( Hindi & English ), Magicpot, Highlight Genies, Highlight Champs, Tinkle, National Geographic for kids etc.
Open Access and Classification : The library follows an open access system. The books are classified and shelved according to the Subject. Students can choose any book they like directly from shelves and use them in library or issue for home in their library periods.
Library Automation : E-Granthalaya 4.0 Cloud based application is implemented for automation as per KVS guidelines. All the library work is done using E-granthalaya. Users can search books by using online catalogue.
Library Resources : Library is having resources like Text Books, Reference Books, Subject wise Books, Magazines, Newspapers, Internet- as a resource, Study Materials, KVS Resources etc.
